Are You Going To Heaven Test

Thank you for taking the Are You Going to Heaven Test! This test is designed to help you reflect on the most important question: Are you certain you’ll spend eternity in Heaven with God?

Your honest answers can reveal where you stand before God; either on the path to eternal life in Heaven or eternal separation from Him in the Lake of Fire. The Bible reminds us in 2 Corinthians 5:10 that everyone will stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

The Holy Scriptures teach us that salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn through good works. As Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

This test includes ten questions to help you examine your relationship with God. Over time, true followers of Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, will grow in their love for God and yearn to live for Him. If you have little or no desire for these things, you probably have not yet experienced salvation.  But there is hope! Jesus loves you and gave His life on the cross so you can be saved.

Take this time to deeply and honestly reflect on the condition of your soul. Jesus invites you to trust Him and begin a new life in Him. Let’s get started!

Question 1. Do you have a consistent and vibrant prayer life, spending time in fellowship with God? Prayer is a precious opportunity to talk with Jesus Christ, our Savior, and Redeemer, sharing your thoughts, concerns, needs, joys, and every part of your life. It is also a time to listen as God speaks to your heart. Prayer is the very breath of your spiritual life. Let us follow the call to “pray without ceasing”.
  • Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
  • John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Question 2. Do you desire to study the Bible, filled with God’s love, grace, and truth? Do you make time in your busy life to read His Word? The Holy Scriptures are the spiritual nourishment your soul needs to thrive.
  • Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Question 3. Do you find joy in fellowship with other believers and make it a priority to attend church regularly?
  • Hebrews 10:24-25And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Question 4. Do you long to share the good news of Jesus Christ and His gift of eternal life with others?
  • Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Question 5. Are you bold in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, proclaiming His love and salvation to your family, friends, and even casual acquaintances?
  • Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
  • Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Question 6. Do you have a deep distaste for sin and a genuine heart to pursue holiness? Before salvation, people are drawn to the darkness of sinful desires and resist the light of God.
  • John 3:19-20 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
  • 1 Peter 1:15-16 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Question 7. Does your lifestyle demonstrate righteous works and a rejection of sinful deeds? This is where true faith is put into action.
  • John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
  • Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Question 8. Do you feel genuine joy when you spend meaningful time with the One you love most, your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ?
  • Psalms 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
  • Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Question 9. Are you quick to forgive others, as Christ has forgiven you? Forgiving others is a powerful sign of a heart transformed by His grace, reflecting the forgiveness we’ve received through Him.
  • Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
  • Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Question 10. Do you long for Christ’s return and live with an eternal perspective? Believers eagerly await His return, living each day in anticipation of spending eternity with Him.
  • Philippians 3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
  • 2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Now it is time to self-grade your test results…
You’ve now reflected on ten questions of faith to help assess your spiritual condition and determine if you are saved and on your way to heaven. Only you can truly know if you’ve passed or failed. This is a deeply personal and serious decision, the most important one you’ll ever make.

If you passed the test, praise God for the grace that has saved you! If you recognize that you’ve failed, it’s time to repent of your sins and cry out to God for mercy. Your eternal home in heaven depends on being reconciled with God through Jesus Christ alone. Do not wait!
  • Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
  • 2 Corinthians 6:2 Forhesaith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
If you know you are a Christian, are you joyful in your walk with our Lord? Perhaps you’re a Christian who isn’t fully committed to serving the Lord, like being a “50% Christian.” God desires all of you, your heart, soul, mind, and strength. He calls you to wholehearted devotion.
  • Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
What if you realize you’ve failed the test? Don’t be discouraged. Failing this self-examination is not the end, but an opportunity for a fresh start. In His great love and mercy, God has already provided the way to eternal life through Jesus Christ. No matter how far you are from God, He will welcome you if you turn to Him with a repentant heart.
The key to true Faith is genuine Biblical Repentance.
Salvation requires true repentance, a godly sorrow for sins, and a desire to turn away from all sinful ways. Evidence of true salvation is a deep love for Jesus Christ and a strong, heartfelt desire to serve Him as the Lord and Savior of your life.
  • Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
  • Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
  • 2 Corinthians 7:10aFor godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation…
Closing thoughts…
God loves you deeply and unconditionally!
  • John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
However, there are serious consequences for rejecting God’s gift of salvation and true faith. Rejecting His offer of reconciliation leads to eternal separation from Him, but accepting it brings the promise of eternal life with God.
  • John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
